INTRODUCTION
Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.
Partner Marketing Manager, Technology Partnerships
About the Role
As a Partner Marketing Manager for Technology Partnerships, you will be the demand generation architect behind Okta’s most strategic ISV partnerships. You are not just a marketer; you are a business leader responsible for defining how Okta and our leading technology partners win together in the market.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Partner Marketing, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, leading the end-to-end GTM strategy for a portfolio of Tier-1 technology partners. You are responsible for bringing joint innovation to market—including the development and launch of AI integrations with large platform partners—and ensuring these efforts translate into measurable pipeline and revenue impact. You will bridge product and sales, connecting technical integrations to clear customer value and scalable go-to-market execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic GTM & Field Activation
- Own the Strategy: Develop and execute the joint marketing strategy for Okta and with key ISV partners including Zscaler, Crowdstrike, Google and more, to drive new leads, increase consumption, and amplify our message in the market.
- GTM Narrative Activation: Partner with Product Marketing to "field-proof" joint messaging. You are responsible for taking high-level technical value propositions and transforming them into actionable, high-conversion marketing assets (e.g., co-branded pitch decks, solution briefs, and sales plays) that resonate with Okta’s global sales force.
- Integrated Campaign Architecture: Lead the design and global rollout of complex multi-partner and multi-channel "Always-On" marketing programs to create unified messaging, value propositions, and joint campaign architecture that captures new market opportunities. You own the strategy for how the joint solution is positioned across webinars, digital demand gen, and major third-party events (e.g., RSAC, Zenith Live, Fal.Con).
- AI Integration Launches: Support the GTM strategy and execution for joint AI integrations with large platform partners, from launch planning through field activation. Ensure these innovations are clearly positioned, enabled for sales, and translated into scalable demand generation and pipeline impact.
- Market Positioning: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on the competitive landscape of your partner category, ensuring Okta remains the "integration of choice" for the ecosystem.
- Ecosystem Campaign Intelligence: Monitor the performance of joint marketing plays and provide a "feedback loop" to PMM and Product. You identify which narratives are actually driving pipeline in the field and which need to be pivoted based on real-world buyer behavior.
Ecosystem Scale & Influence
- Executive Alignment: Build and maintain high-level relationships with marketing and product leaders at partner organizations to secure premium sponsorship, co-marketing budget, and roadmap alignment.
- Influence and Align Cross-Functionally: Embed our ISV partnerships within Okta’s highly cross-functional working teams, collaborating across alliances, product marketing, field marketing, demand gen, content, PR, and social.
- Global Playbook Development: Design "Scale" packages—repeatable marketing assets and frameworks—that allow regional marketing teams in EMEA and APJ to execute partner motions with speed and consistency.
Revenue & Performance Management
- Pipeline Accountability: Own the "Partner-Influenced Pipeline" and “Marketing Attached” targets. You will be responsible for the health of the funnel generated through co-marketing activities.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize SFDC, Tableau, and Crossbeam to track ecosystem overlap, measure campaign attribution, and provide regular "State of the Union" reports to leadership.
Qualifications
- Strategic Experience & Domain Expertise: 6+ years of experience in B2B tech marketing or alliances, ideally within high-growth SaaS environments. You possess a deep understanding of the Identity, Security, or Cloud Infrastructure landscape and can comfortably navigate technical concepts and translate them into business value.
- GTM Orchestration & "Big Picture" Thinking: Proven ability to move beyond one-off tactics to build global "marketing engines." You think in systems and playbooks, with a demonstrated knack for re-imagining how Okta and our partner ecosystem deliver compounding value to customers.
- The "Own It" Mentality: A proactive, high-autonomy leader with a bias for action. You exhibit the rare ability to think strategically about full-funnel pipeline development while remaining "hands-on" to troubleshoot tactics and ensure initiatives deliver tangible ROI.
- Exceptional Influence & Communication: A natural storyteller and persuasive communicator. You are skilled at distilling complex technical integrations into punchy, benefit-driven messaging and are equally effective at presenting to C-suite stakeholders as you are to technical audiences.
- Cross-Functional Leadership Excellence: Mastery of the matrixed environment. You have a proven track record of leading "v-teams" (virtual teams) across PMM, Enablement, and Alliances without direct authority, driving alignment and execution across diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in the technology sector.

Align your degree to the role
USCIS requires your degree field to directly relate to the Technology Partner Manager role. A business, computer science, or information systems degree strengthens the specialty occupation argument. If your degree is in an adjacent field, document how your coursework maps to partner program management.
Target companies with LCA filing history
Search Migrate Mate to filter Technology Partner Manager roles by employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for this job title. Past LCA filings signal an established H-1B sponsorship process, reducing the risk of an employer backing out mid-offer.
Verify SOC code before the LCA is filed
Technology Partner Manager roles are often mapped to SOC code 11-2021 (Marketing Managers) or 15-1299 (Computer Occupations). Ask your employer which code they plan to use, then cross-check prevailing wage levels using the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the offered salary meets DOL requirements.
Negotiate your offer before the lottery window
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start. If your offer comes in late March, you have days to finalize compensation, title, and duties. Get the written offer and job description locked before USCIS registration opens so your employer can register you accurately.
Request premium processing for offer-dependent timelines
If a partner ecosystem launch or onboarding deadline is tied to your start date, ask your employer to file with USCIS premium processing. Standard adjudication can run several months; premium processing targets a 15-business-day decision, giving both sides a firm planning date.
Document cross-functional scope in your job description
USCIS scrutinizes whether partner management roles genuinely require a specialized degree. Work with your employer to detail technical product knowledge, channel strategy, and systems integration responsibilities in the LCA job duties. Vague descriptions like 'manage partner relationships' invite Requests for Evidence.

Find Technology Partner Manager JobsTechnology Partner Manager H-1B Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Technology Partner Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B purposes?
Yes, if the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business administration, computer science, or information technology. The employer must document in the LCA and I-129 petition that the role's duties, including technical product enablement, go-to-market planning, and partner program oversight, require specialized degree-level knowledge to perform.
How do I find employers who actively sponsor H-1B visas for Technology Partner Manager positions?
Use Migrate Mate to search Technology Partner Manager jobs filtered by employers with verified H-1B filing history. Looking at past Labor Condition Applications by job title and employer gives you concrete evidence of sponsorship willingness before you spend time applying, so you're not discovering a company's policy after three rounds of interviews.
What happens to my H-1B status if the partner program I manage is restructured or eliminated?
Your H-1B is tied to the specific employer and job duties on your approved petition. If your role changes materially, your employer must file an amended H-1B with USCIS before the change takes effect. If your position is eliminated, you have a 60-day grace period to find a new sponsoring employer, change status, or depart.
Can my H-1B employer assign me to work on-site at a partner company's office?
Yes, but the placement requires a valid LCA covering that worksite location and must reflect the prevailing wage for that geographic area. If the partner site is in a different metropolitan area than your primary office, your employer may need to file a new or amended LCA with DOL before you begin working there.
How is the prevailing wage determined for a Technology Partner Manager H-1B petition?
DOL sets prevailing wages by SOC code and geographic area using the OFLC Wage Search. Technology Partner Manager roles are commonly mapped to Marketing Manager or Computer Occupations codes depending on the role's technical depth. The wage level assigned, from Level I to Level IV, is based on your experience, supervision responsibilities, and complexity of duties.
