Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Visa Sponsorship as a Delivery Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Delivery Manager roles must meet the specialty occupation definition, meaning your degree in project management, engineering, or business needs to directly support the position. Pull your O*NET occupation profile to confirm the degree field employers and consular officers expect.
Target employers with existing LCA filing history
Use Migrate Mate to filter Delivery Manager roles by DOL Labor Condition Application history, so you only pursue companies that have already gone through the H-1B1 Chile sponsorship process and understand what the filing requires.
Verify your employer is E-Verify enrolled before accepting an offer
H-1B1 Chile sponsorship requires your employer to be enrolled in E-Verify. Ask the hiring team directly before negotiations progress, since discovering a gap at the LCA stage means delays or restarting the search entirely.
Request the LCA filing timeline during offer negotiation
Your employer files the LCA with DOL before you apply at the consulate. Ask for a projected LCA submission date in writing during offer discussions so your start date and consulate appointment can be scheduled realistically around that milestone.
Check the OFLC Wage Search for your specific metro area
Prevailing wage levels for Delivery Manager roles shift significantly between markets. Cross-reference the OFLC Wage Search for your target city before finalizing compensation discussions, because an offer below the certified wage level will trigger LCA rejection.
Prepare a role-specific specialty occupation support letter
Consular officers sometimes question whether Delivery Manager titles qualify as specialty occupations. Work with your employer to prepare a detailed support letter connecting the role's daily responsibilities to your specific degree field before your visa interview.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Delivery Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for H-1B1 Chile?
Yes, if the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as project management, engineering, computer science, or business administration. Generalist management roles where any degree is accepted may face scrutiny at the consulate. Your employer's support letter and the job description both need to establish a clear, direct connection between the required degree field and the specific responsibilities of the role.
How does the H-1B1 Chile visa compare to H-1B for Delivery Manager positions?
The H-1B1 Chile visa skips the lottery entirely and is processed at the consulate rather than through USCIS, which removes months of petition processing from your timeline. The annual cap is 1,400 visas for Chilean nationals and has historically gone unfilled. The trade-off is that H-1B visa1 Chile doesn't allow dual intent, so you can't pursue permanent residency on this status the way some H-1B holders do through employer-sponsored green card pathways.
How do I find Delivery Manager jobs where employers know the H-1B1 Chile process?
Migrate Mate lets you search Delivery Manager roles filtered by DOL Labor Condition Application filing history, which tells you which employers have sponsored H-1B1 Chile or H-1B workers before. Companies already familiar with the LCA and E-Verify requirements move faster through the sponsorship process and are less likely to withdraw an offer because of unfamiliarity with the visa category.
Can my employer file the LCA and consulate application simultaneously to speed up the process?
No. The DOL must certify the LCA before you can apply at the consulate. DOL targets a seven-working-day certification window for standard LCA processing, so the sequencing is fixed: LCA certification first, then consulate appointment scheduling. Build that sequencing into your offer timeline discussions so your proposed start date doesn't assume parallel processing.
What happens to my H-1B1 Chile status if my Delivery Manager role changes significantly after I arrive?
Material changes to your job duties, location, or employer require your employer to file a new or amended LCA with DOL before the change takes effect. Delivery Manager roles that expand into new business units or shift primary work location to a different metropolitan area trigger this requirement. Operating under a stale LCA puts your status at risk, so confirm with your employer whether any planned changes require a new filing.
