About the role and team
Autonomous Mobility & Delivery Product Ops. Product Operations at Uber is where ambitious technology meets real-world execution. In this role, you will sit at the high-stakes intersection of our Autonomous partnership launches and global growth, serving as the bridge between external partner tech teams and Uber's internal product roadmap. You'll be responsible for owning partner relationships end-to-end, from the first technical discovery through launch and long-term expansion, ensuring our Autonomous platform offering and APIs move the world forward safely and efficiently.
This isn't a polished, predictable environment; you will navigate deep technical complexity, shifting internal dependencies, and the high-pressure reality of 0-1 launches. We are looking for someone with a "go-get-it" attitude and a strategic mindset who can find clarity in ambiguity and lead through influence rather than control. If you are energized by the challenge of building new business models at a global scale and have the grit to manage both partner expectations and technical trade-offs, you will thrive here.
- Lead the end-to-end technical discovery, scoping, and roadmap setting for 0-1 Autonomous partner launches, balancing external needs with internal engineering constraints.
- Navigate the messiness of global expansion by aligning cross-functional stakeholders—including Business Development, Marketing, and Legal—to unblock execution and optimize operating structures.
- Translate complex partner feedback and market dynamics into actionable business plans, advising Tech teams on the global feasibility and business implications of the product portfolio.
- Own core business metrics post-launch, identifying technical or geographical problem areas and driving the solutions needed to scale new business models.
- Influence Tech and Business leadership by communicating a clear vision for partnership growth, ensuring the product roadmap reflects the reality of the external landscape.
- Build strategic frameworks and playbooks from scratch to standardize how we scale Autonomous products across different regions and partner types.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operations, business consulting, finance, or a similar analytical role.
- Minimum 5 years Managing IC's in a similar capacity.
- Experience working with Uber-like tech products, large-scale B2C products, or two-sided marketplaces.
- Experience managing external partners, clients, or customers in a high-stakes environment such as partnerships, sales, or solutions engineering.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to convert unstructured problems into focused plans of execution while managing multiple stakeholder groups with conflicting priorities.
- Experience working within tech across global projects or in an international setting.
- Proficiency in using data to inform critical decisions and measure the quality and impact of product launches.
- High technical depth with the ability to develop fluency in platform offerings, APIs, and complex system integrations.
- A self-starter mindset with a proven track record of fostering collaboration and leading through influence in a fast-paced environment.

Verify your degree field matches the role
H-1B1 visa requires a specialty occupation directly tied to a bachelor's degree. For Product Operations Manager roles, a degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or information systems satisfies this. A general studies degree likely won't, so confirm the match before applying.
Search for employers using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Product Operations Manager openings by H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history. Seeing which employers have filed LCAs for operations roles removes guesswork and helps you target companies already familiar with the process.
Request the LCA before signing anything
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before you can apply at the consulate. Ask hiring managers to confirm LCA timeline during the offer stage so consulate scheduling doesn't stall after you've already accepted.
Check prevailing wage before negotiating your offer
Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up the DOL prevailing wage for Product Operations Manager roles in your target metro area. Your offered salary must meet or exceed this figure, so knowing the floor before negotiations prevents LCA rejection later.
Confirm the role's SOC code with your employer
Product operations roles often get coded under general management or computer occupations, which affects the prevailing wage tier and LCA filing. Ask HR which SOC code they plan to use and cross-reference it against the O*NET occupation profile to catch mismatches early.
Prepare a specialty occupation evidence packet
Consular officers can question whether Product Operations Manager qualifies as a specialty occupation. Bring your degree, transcripts, and an employer letter tying your specific duties to your degree field. Chilean credentials should include a notarized translation if issued in Spanish.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Product Operations Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the H-1B1 Chile visa?
Yes, provided the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business administration, industrial engineering, or information systems. The key test is whether the degree is a normal requirement for the role, not just preferred. Generic management titles with no degree requirement won't qualify, so the employer's job description needs to reflect that specificity.
How does the H-1B1 Chile visa compare to H-1B for Product Operations Manager roles?
The H-1B visa1 Chile visa skips the H-1B lottery entirely, which means a Product Operations Manager with a qualifying job offer can apply at the consulate without waiting for a random selection. The annual cap of 1,400 visas for Chilean nationals has never filled. The trade-off is that H-1B visa1 doesn't allow dual intent, so it requires demonstrating nonimmigrant intent at each consular visit.
How can I find Product Operations Manager jobs that offer H-1B1 Chile visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you search Product Operations Manager openings filtered by H-1B1 Chile sponsorship history, so you can focus on employers who have already filed LCAs for similar roles. Cold-applying to companies with no sponsorship track record for operations roles wastes time. Targeting employers with demonstrated filing history dramatically improves your chances of getting an offer that moves forward.
What documents does a Chilean Product Operations Manager need for the consular interview?
You'll need a certified LCA from DOL, your DS-160 confirmation, a valid Chilean passport, your degree and transcripts, and an employer support letter detailing your duties and their connection to your degree field. If your credentials were issued in Spanish, bring notarized translations. USCIS guidance recommends also carrying evidence of your employer's business legitimacy, such as corporate filings or financial statements.
Can I switch employers after entering the U.S. on an H-1B1 Chile visa as a Product Operations Manager?
H-1B1 doesn't have portability rules like H-1B does. If you change employers, your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need to return to a Chilean consulate for a new visa stamp before starting work. Planning an employer transition well in advance of your current visa expiration avoids gaps in work authorization. Migrate Mate can help you identify new sponsoring employers while you're still employed.
