H-1B1 Singapore Visa Product Design Lead Jobs
Product Design Lead jobs with H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship are open to Singaporean nationals without a lottery draw or USCIS petition. The 5,400-visa annual cap rarely fills, so qualified candidates apply directly at the U.S. consulate. Design leadership roles qualify as specialty occupations requiring a directly related degree.

About Rippling
Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.
Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.
Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.
We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.
About the role
Every year, employers and employees spend over $5 trillion on benefits globally. From health insurance to saving for retirement, these benefits products guide families through some of the most important and impactful decisions in life. Despite the significance of these products and the dollars spent, the experience is still painfully antiquated, expensive, and confusing.
Rippling is building the first modern multi-sided marketplace that seamlessly connects brokers, employers, and employees with any benefit—our platform powers the discovery, purchase, and use of benefits products around the world. Our benefits vertical includes our Benefits Platform (recommendations, payments, and our benefits eligibility engine), our rapidly growing Benefits Marketplace of over 100 partners, and our natively-built Rippling Benefits Products.
Design plays an essential role in ensuring the product is easy to use, flexible, and powerful, helping free up smart people to work on hard problems for their organizations rather than the busy work that often comes with their jobs. We hold design to a higher standard than others in the industry, and it’s core to Rippling’s vision. The user experience is essential in building trust with our customers so they can feel confident that important aspects of their business run without fail for their employees. As designers, you’re responsible for creating these experiences that solve real everyday problems for employees and companies by designing surprisingly great products for them.
We’re looking for a Product Designer who is passionate about helping businesses and their employees succeed in their missions by helping them run more effectively.
What you will do
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for new and existing features and products
- Design new 0-1 products, improve and expand new products, and execute tactical deliverables
- Design fully featured product experiences that provide power and flexibility, but simultaneously provide simplicity and ease of use
- Partner closely with our user research team, collaborate and support UX research projects, and use research findings in design work
- Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the design and company leadership
- Understand the array of technical constraints and capabilities, user goals, and business requirements that shape a product
- Work with Engineering to ensure quality implementation and product launches
- Work closely with designers on your team to develop and expand the product design system
What you will need
- 6+ years of professional product design experience with a track record of shipping complex, high-impact products end to end, from planning to QA
- Proven ability to transform complexity into elegant simplicity, whether in fintech, enterprise software, or other demanding domains
- Strong craft skills with proficiency in design tools and the ability to create compelling, detailed design specifications and prototypes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; you can articulate design decisions clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Relentless customer focus; you dig deep to understand real user needs and translate those insights into design decisions that solve meaningful problems
- Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action; you thrive in fast-paced environments and turn ambiguity into clarity through thoughtful design exploration
- Familiarity with generative AI design tools and excitement about how they can expand creative possibilities and accelerate workflow

Verify your design credentials meet specialty occupation
Product Design Lead roles require a degree directly related to the work, not just any bachelor's. Check the O*NET occupation profile for SOC code 27-1021 to confirm your UX, industrial design, or HCI qualification aligns before applying.
Target employers with active LCA filings
Use Migrate Mate to filter Product Design Lead roles by employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for design and creative occupations, so you're targeting companies already familiar with H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship processes.
Request an LCA before your consulate appointment
Your employer files the LCA with DOL before your consulate interview, not after. Confirm certification timing early because the LCA must be approved and posted for ten business days before your application can proceed.
Check prevailing wage against your offered salary
Run your job title and work location through the OFLC Wage Search before accepting an offer. Your employer's LCA must certify a wage at or above the prevailing rate for Product Design Lead roles in that metro area.
Prepare a portfolio demonstrating specialty-level contribution
Consular officers assess whether you're performing work requiring a specialized degree. Bring documented evidence of systems-level design leadership, cross-functional ownership, and strategic scope, not just execution samples from individual contributor projects.
Plan your entry timing around the two-year renewal cycle
H-1B1 visa Singapore status is granted in one-year increments at the port of entry, renewable without a hard cap. Coordinate with your employer on renewal paperwork timelines so your authorization doesn't lapse between design project cycles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Product Design Lead role qualify as a specialty occupation for the H-1B1 Singapore visa?
Yes, if the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as industrial design, UX design, human-computer interaction, or a closely related discipline. Generic leadership experience alone doesn't qualify. Your employer documents the degree requirement in the LCA, and the consular officer confirms the match between your credential and the specific role.
How does the H-1B1 Singapore visa differ from the H-1B for Product Design Lead roles?
The H-1B visa1 Singapore visa has no lottery and no USCIS petition requirement. You apply directly at the U.S. consulate in Singapore with an approved LCA from DOL. The H-1B requires USCIS approval and a lottery selection that caps registrations annually. For Product Design Lead candidates, the H-1B1 path is faster and more predictable once an employer files the LCA.
How can I find Product Design Lead employers who sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with verified LCA filing history for design and creative roles, so you're not cold-applying to companies unfamiliar with H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship. This shortens the employer education phase significantly and connects you with teams who understand the consulate-based process.
Can I switch employers after starting a Product Design Lead role on H-1B1 Singapore status?
Yes, but your new employer must file a new LCA and you'll need to apply for a new H-1B1 visa stamp at the consulate before re-entering the U.S. or during a trip abroad. There's no H-1B portability provision for H-1B1, so plan the transition timeline with your employer to avoid gaps in authorization.
What documents should I bring to the consulate interview for a Product Design Lead H-1B1 application?
Bring the certified LCA, your job offer letter specifying the Product Design Lead title and responsibilities, degree transcripts and credentials in UX or design, your portfolio or work samples demonstrating specialty-level contribution, DS-160 confirmation, and your passport. The officer will assess whether your qualifications directly support the specialty occupation classification listed on the LCA.
