Entry Level Healthcare Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level healthcare consultant job?
Start by building analytical and communication skills through coursework, internships, or volunteer work in clinical or administrative settings. Employers at this level look for candidates who understand healthcare operations, can interpret data, and communicate findings clearly. A relevant degree in health administration, public health, business, or a clinical field gives you a strong foundation, and any hands-on project work demonstrating problem-solving in a healthcare context will set you apart.
Which companies hire entry level healthcare consultants?
Companies hiring entry level healthcare consultants right now include EY, VIVA, and Gilbane, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad range of employers, including large consulting firms, hospital systems, health insurance organizations, and specialized healthcare advisory boutiques that regularly onboard junior talent.
Are there remote entry level healthcare consultant jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 57% of entry level healthcare consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the consulting industry's shift toward flexible work. Fully remote roles are more common at larger firms and for project-based or analytical positions, while on-site roles tend to appear when client-facing work is central to the position.
Are these new grad healthcare consultant jobs?
Yes, many of these postings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically states it is open to zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or academic projects as qualifying background, or lists a portfolio or relevant coursework as sufficient. These roles are designed as entry points for candidates finishing a degree or making an early career move into healthcare consulting.
Which industries hire the most entry level healthcare consultants?
Entry Level healthcare consultant roles concentrate in Accounting & Auditing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they face ongoing pressure to improve care delivery, manage costs, and meet compliance requirements, creating steady demand for junior consultants who can support research, analysis, and implementation work.
