Entry Level Emergency Department Registered Nurse Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level emergency department registered nurse job?
Start by earning your RN license through the NCLEX-RN, then target hospitals and health systems that offer new grad residency or transition-to-practice programs specifically in the emergency department. Highlight any ED clinical rotations, trauma exposure, or preceptorship hours on your resume. BLS and ACLS certification signals readiness to ED hiring managers, and a cover letter that speaks to your comfort in fast-paced, high-acuity settings gives entry level candidates a clear edge.
Which companies hire entry level emergency department registered nurses?
Companies hiring entry level emergency department registered nurses right now include Voyage Health, Emory Healthcare, and Orlando Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a range of employers, including large health systems with structured new grad residency programs, community hospitals, and staffing agencies that place early-career RNs in ED contracts.
Are there remote entry level emergency department registered nurse jobs?
Yes, though most emergency department nursing is hands-on and on-site by nature. About 2% of entry level emergency department registered nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these tend to be triage support, telehealth, or care coordination roles rather than bedside ED positions. Candidates open to on-site work will find the widest range of entry level opportunities.
Are these new grad emergency department registered nurse jobs?
Yes. The listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior emergency department registered nurse roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts clinical rotation or internship hours in lieu of professional experience, or explicitly mentions a residency or transition-to-practice program. If you are a new grad and recently passed the NCLEX-RN, these roles are written with your background in mind.
Which industries hire the most entry level emergency department registered nurses?
Entry Level emergency department registered nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they operate high-volume emergency and acute care settings that rely on structured new grad programs to build and retain their frontline ED nursing workforce.
