Hotel Jobs in Tampa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hotel job in Tampa?
Start by targeting Tampa's highest-volume hiring hubs: the downtown waterfront hotel corridor, Westshore's airport-adjacent full-service properties, and the Ybor City boutique and entertainment district. Front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage roles turn over most frequently. Candidates with flexible weekend and overnight availability, basic property management system familiarity, and a hospitality-focused customer service background move through hiring fastest in this market.
Which companies hire hotels in Tampa?
Companies currently hiring hotels in Tampa include McKibbon Hospitality, Schulte Hospitality, and Apexx Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tampa's employer mix skews toward major branded full-service hotels, convention center-adjacent properties, and independently operated boutique hotels serving the city's growing tourism and business travel market.
Are there remote hotel jobs in Tampa?
Yes, though remote opportunities are rare for hands-on roles like housekeeping and front desk and more common for revenue management, reservations, and corporate hotel operations positions. About 9% of hotel openings tied to Tampa are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the largest share concentrated in corporate and regional support functions. Revenue management and group sales coordinators see the most remote-eligible postings locally.
How can I get a hotel job in Tampa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tampa is through high-volume hourly roles at the city's large convention and airport hotels, which hire continuously and promote from within. Properties near the Tampa Convention Center and Tampa International Airport regularly bring on entry-level housekeeping, banquet setup, and guest services staff with no prior experience required. Completing a short hospitality certificate through Hillsborough Community College strengthens any application significantly.
