Who's Hiring

HR Coordinator Jobs in San Diego: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a hr coordinator job in San Diego?
Target San Diego's highest-volume HR hiring sectors: defense and aerospace contractors in Kearny Mesa and Sorrento Valley, hospital systems and life sciences companies in Mission Valley and UTC, and the large hotel and resort operators downtown and in Mission Bay. Candidates who combine HRIS experience with knowledge of California-specific leave laws and multi-site coordination stand out most in this market.
Which companies hire hr coordinators in San Diego?
Companies currently hiring hr coordinators in San Diego include Areas, Elevo, and Adjoin, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. San Diego's mix of large defense primes, regional health systems, and growing biotech firms means demand is spread across both corporate headquarters and satellite operations throughout the metro.
Are there remote hr coordinator jobs in San Diego?
Yes, though remote availability is limited for this role since much of the work involves in-person onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations that require physical presence. About 25% of hr coordinator openings tied to San Diego are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, with hybrid schedules most common at larger tech and corporate employers in UTC and Carmel Valley. Recruiting coordination and HRIS data tasks are the duties most frequently offered on remote days.
How can I get a hr coordinator job in San Diego with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in San Diego is through administrative or recruiting coordinator roles at the region's large hospital networks, hotel operators, or defense contractors, all of which hire regularly at the coordinator level and promote from within. Completing SHRM-CP coursework or a workforce development certificate through San Diego Workforce Partnership strengthens applications. Temporary staffing agencies serving Kearny Mesa and Mission Valley are also a practical route to first placements.
