Main missions
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for assisting with the daily HR functions including payroll, recruitment and selection, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations, and employment related policies & procedures.
Main duties
- Perform new hire onboarding tasks and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Assist in administering employee benefits including leave of absences and FMLA.
- Responsible for weekly payroll processing, including employee time and attendance tracking and vacation accruals.
- Manages the recruiting process and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Coordinate worksite events (group meetings, training sessions, employee activities, etc.)
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
- Assists in the deployment of HR action plans and group / regional programs.
- Provide support to Human Resources Manager as needed.
- Assist or act as back up for basic accounting needs as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:
- Associate’s degree in human resources or equivalent work experience.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ADP preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Compensation Data
- Salary Range: $58,000.00 - $75,000.00 depending on experience.
