At Carnival, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic partner to the business and a trusted advisor to leaders. They are actively involved in leadership discussions and help shape talent strategies for their assigned teams. The HRBP understands the organization's talent needs and supports leaders in building strong, high-performing teams through succession planning, employee development, and performance management. They coach leaders on providing feedback, managing performance, resolving conflicts, and leading change. The HRBP also serves as the main point of contact for complex employee and HR matters, working closely with Centers of Excellence such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Services to deliver solutions and support business goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong grasp of the work, goals, challenges, and long-term direction of the designated client group(s).
- Serve as an embedded partner in the business, has a valued seat at the leadership table, participates in key meetings, and helps shape talent strategy for their designated client group(s).
- Coach and advises leaders, acting as a sounding board to help leaders manage performance, give feedback, navigate conflict, and lead change.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the talent across the business and helps leaders build strong teams through succession planning, talent reviews, development, performance management, and compensation planning.
- Support organizational decisions by providing counsel on reorganizations, spans and layers, role clarity, and change management.
- Serve as the primary point of elevation for complex or sensitive COE issues, partnering closely with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Compensation, Benefits, and HR Services.
- Collaborate closely with the Manager, Employee Relations to address complex employee relations and performance management cases, providing business context and supporting leaders in navigating sensitive employee matters.
- Advocate for employees by surfacing themes from engagement surveys, turnover trends, and morale issues so talent needs are considered when making decisions.
- Elevate the employee experience by ensuring fair and consistent practices and promoting a work environment that embodies Carnival’s Core Values.
- Support the effectiveness of the Human Resources function by identifying opportunities to improve processes, standardizing operating procedures, and enhance service delivery.
- Help drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, consistency, and the overall effectiveness of HR operations.

- 5+ years of progressive Strategic Human Resources Business Partner experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required.
This position is classified as “in-office.” As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida Monday through Thursday each week. Employees may work from their homes on Fridays. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

Paid Time Off
- Holidays – All full-time and part-time with benefits employees receive days off for 8 company-wide holidays, plus 2 additional floating holidays to be taken at the employee’s discretion.
- Vacation Time – All full-time employees at the manager and below level start with 14 days/year; director and above level start with 19 days/year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 84 hours/year. All employees gain additional vacation time with further tenure.
- Sick Time – All full-time employees receive 80 hours of sick time each year. Part-time with benefits employees receive time off based on the number of hours they work, with a minimum of 60 hours each year.
