INTRODUCTION
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communications, supporting both staff and leadership with HR needs in a pleasant and timely manner.
- Maintains listing of current employment opportunities at SBAMH. Works with all department leaders to guarantee accuracy. Posts positions to career sites online.
- Screens employment applications and makes recommendations for interviewing to department leaders.
- Assists leaders in completing employment and/or personal references on applicants and documents information.
- Obtains background checks on all newly hired employees.
- Communicates with all applicants for employment with resume/application acknowledgment letters and other correspondence as needed.
- Coordinates pre-employment physical examination with applicant, department leader, Rehabilitation Department and El Dorado Urgent Care staff.
- Facilitates orientation process for new employees. Schedules first day orientation with Education Coordinator.
- Serves as the back-up facilitator for First Day Orientation as needed.
- Meets with new employees to complete required employment forms and benefit enrollment forms. Is responsible for all new employee HR forms being completed and on file.
- Develops and maintains personal expertise in SBAMH employment benefits. Assists employees with benefit questions.
- Completes employment and wage surveys by required deadlines.
- Assists with annual benefit enrollment process.
- Maintains current knowledge of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and assists the Employee Health RN with the law internally.
- Maintains current knowledge of all laws and regulations pertinent to the employment process, issues, and procedures and assists management in compliance.
- Demonstrates support to Hospital staff of leadership activities and policies.
- Insures and protects the confidentiality of employees and of Hospital business.

Prepares ID badges for employees.

Attends career fairs to recruit for open positions.

Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must be highly organized and have excellent computer skills. Must have ability to interact with employees with all levels of education and skill.
Education
Graduation from a recognized college preferred, with a Bachelor Degree in Human Resources preferred.
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years of Human Resource experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
None.
CODE BLUE TRAINING
Ability to activate Code Blue system by dialing 200.
