JOB DETAILS
Looking for a senior-level Electrical Technician to support a large, high-volume aluminum manufacturing operation. This role is heavily focused on troubleshooting, reliability, and continuous improvement across cold mill production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues on production equipment to minimize downtime across cold mill operations
- Provide hands-on support for breakdowns, outages, and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment
- Troubleshoot and support PLCs (Allen Bradley), drives, motors, and control systems in a heavy industrial environment
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs with technical input and execution
- Train and mentor operators and maintenance teams to elevate technical skillsets and reduce recurring issues
- Develop and maintain SOPs and standard work for electrical systems and processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting ability down to root cause across electrical and controls systems
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and prints
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, drives, motors, and automation systems
- Ability to support both planned work and urgent production issues in a fast-paced plant
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed electrical apprenticeship or technical degree
- Experience with servo systems, instrumentation, and process controls
- Exposure to heavy manufacturing environments like steel, aluminum, or mills
