WPT Nonwovens is looking for an experienced Electrical & Automation Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, automation, controls, and production equipment to keep our operations running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair 480V three-phase electrical systems, motors, sensors, relays, control wiring, and low-voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, VFDs, robotics, automated machinery, and control systems.
- Connect to PLCs, monitor I/O, read logic, identify faults, and make authorized minor program modifications.
- Troubleshoot, replace, program, and parameter-tune VFDs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, motors, drives, automated equipment, and production machinery.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
- Use electrical meters, laptops, diagnostic equipment, and software to identify and correct equipment problems.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore machinery to safe operating condition.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
- Document maintenance work and communicate recurring equipment issues or repair needs.
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA, LOTO, and NFPA 70E requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably with a strong electrical and automation background.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

- Ability to use electrical meters, computers, and diagnostic tools.
