Insurance Jobs in Nashville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a insurance job in Nashville?
Focus your search on Nashville's dense concentration of regional carriers, third-party administrators, and captive agencies in the Brentwood and Cool Springs submarkets, plus the large employer benefits teams headquartered downtown. Candidates with P&C or life and health licensing and hands-on experience in claims, underwriting, or account management move fastest here. A background in healthcare-adjacent insurance is a particular edge given Nashville's outsized healthcare industry.
Which companies hire insurances in Nashville?
Nashville insurance roles are posted by DXC Technology, Kemper, and Kroger and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market includes a mix of national carriers with regional offices, independent agencies, and large self-insured employers in healthcare and logistics that maintain substantial in-house insurance and risk management teams.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Nashville?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: field adjusters and agency producers are largely on-site, while underwriting, claims review, and benefits administration roles are frequently remote-eligible. About 71% of insurance openings tied to Nashville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Analytical and desk-based functions, particularly in group benefits and commercial underwriting, account for the largest share of Nashville's remote postings.
How can I get a insurance job in Nashville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Nashville is a customer service or inside sales role at one of the city's many independent agencies or regional carrier offices, where new hires routinely earn their P&C license on the job. Large employer benefits operations in Nashville's healthcare sector also hire benefits coordinators with no prior insurance background. Familiarity with CRM tools and a willingness to obtain your Tennessee license quickly gives entry-level candidates a clear edge locally.
Which industries hire the most insurances in Nashville?
Nashville insurance roles concentrate in Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026.
