Entry Level Insurance Product Management Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level insurance product management job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who understand insurance fundamentals, whether through coursework, an internship, or a licensing exam like Series 6 or a state P&C license. Demonstrating familiarity with product lifecycle basics, customer research, or cross-functional collaboration gives you an edge. A focused resume that highlights relevant class projects, internships, or self-directed product work often moves entry level applicants to the interview stage faster than a generalist resume.
Which companies hire entry level insurance product managements?
Companies hiring entry level insurance product managements right now include Shelter Insurance Companies, Aflac, and COUNTRY Financial, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring covers regional carriers, national insurers, and insurtech startups, many of which run formal rotational or associate programs designed to bring in junior candidates with little or no prior insurance experience.
Are there remote entry level insurance product management jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 30% of entry level insurance product management openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with many insurtech and digital-first carriers offering the most flexibility. Traditional carriers and regional companies tend to prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements, especially for candidates still building core product and insurance knowledge.
Are these new grad insurance product management jobs?
Yes, the openings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or co-ops in lieu of full-time history, or explicitly invites candidates with a portfolio or relevant coursework. If a listing asks for a degree in business, finance, or a related field without requiring prior insurance experience, it is almost always open to new grad applicants.
Which industries hire the most entry level insurance product managements?
Entry Level insurance product management roles concentrate in Insurance, Science & Research, and Banking & Financial Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they are expanding their product lines, investing in digital distribution, or building out structured associate programs that are specifically designed to develop junior product talent from the ground up.
