Junior Analyst Jobs in Massachusetts: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a junior analyst in Massachusetts?
Most junior analyst roles in Massachusetts require a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business analytics, statistics, or a closely related field. No state-issued license applies to the analyst role itself, but candidates targeting financial services firms must be aware that certain positions lead to FINRA licensing requirements once hired. Massachusetts employers, especially in Boston's financial district and the Route 128 tech corridor, strongly favor candidates with internship experience, Excel proficiency, and exposure to data tools.
Which companies hire junior analysts in Massachusetts?
Companies currently hiring junior analysts in Massachusetts include CARVANA, W.B. Mason Company, and Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Massachusetts's dense concentration of financial services firms, biotech companies, and consulting practices means demand for junior analysts remains broad and consistent across the state.
Which Massachusetts cities have the most junior analyst jobs?
Boston, Waltham, and Framingham have the most junior analyst openings in Massachusetts. Boston drives the largest share because of its concentration of asset managers, insurance carriers, and management consulting firms, while Cambridge and Worcester attract demand from biotech companies, academic medical centers, and regional financial institutions that maintain significant operations outside the core city.
Are there remote junior analyst jobs in Massachusetts?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 44% of junior analyst openings tied to Massachusetts are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based, data-driven nature of the work. Roles focused on financial reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence tend to offer the most flexibility, while positions that involve frequent collaboration with trading desks or on-site lab teams are more likely to require in-person attendance.
How can I get hired as a junior analyst in Massachusetts with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to rotational analyst programs at large Massachusetts employers, including Fidelity Investments, State Street, and Liberty Mutual, all of which run structured new-graduate programs designed for candidates without prior full-time experience. Adjacent roles such as financial operations associate, reporting coordinator, or research assistant at Boston-area hospitals and biotech firms also serve as common entry points. A relevant internship, a strong Excel and SQL skill set, or a CFA Level I candidacy gives applicants a meaningful edge in competitive applicant pools.
Where can I find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Massachusetts?
You can find and apply to junior analyst jobs in Massachusetts on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
