As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll support scientific research and research and development by preparing samples, performing laboratory procedures, and recording accurate results. You’ll work with laboratory instruments and follow established safety, quality, and compliance practices across research, clinical, or industrial laboratory settings.
Duties
- Prepare samples and perform laboratory techniques, including sterile laboratory techniques, cell culture, microbiology, histology, and molecular biology techniques, as assigned.
- Collect and document data; maintain laboratory records and update laboratory information management systems.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments; follow laboratory standard operating procedures and quality control processes.
- Apply laboratory safety practices, including chemical handling safety procedures, and comply with applicable FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP).
- Your impact: Careful testing and record keeping help research teams and other laboratory users make informed, reliable decisions.
Requirements
- Laboratory experience and technical proficiency with laboratory procedures, instruments, and record keeping; strong analysis skills and math ability.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, laboratory compliance, and quality control practices.
- Microsoft Office skills for documenting, organizing, and reviewing laboratory data.
- Preferred: industrial laboratory, clinical laboratory, research laboratory, or other research setting experience; laboratory research or scientific research exposure.
- Preferred: familiarity with animal physiology, molecular biology, cell culture, microbiology, histology, GLP, CGMP, and FDA regulations.
Pay: $29.27 - $31.64 per hour
