Job Summary
Logistics company seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. Duties

• Process and review accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, approval workflows, and payment processing using financial software such as Quickbooks and similar systems.
• Manage accounts receivable activities by invoicing customers, applying payments, and performing collections to ensure cash flow optimization.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers regularly, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly through detailed analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions while adhering to compliance standards for internal controls and audit readiness.
• Utilize Excel data analysis techniques to support account reconciliation and reporting functions.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries, analyzing account activity, and supporting general ledger accuracy in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Support automation initiatives for accounts payable and receivable processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual data entry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless processing of invoices and payments while safeguarding confidential information.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable and receivable management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial software systems such as QuickBooks and similar platforms.
• Familiarity with accounting concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Experience with financial compliance standards.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis, spreadsheets creation, and analysis skills for reporting purposes.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail; strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
