About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic images using proper positioning, compression, and technique.
- Perform routine and specialized mammography views as required.
- Perform or assist with 2D and 3D/tomosynthesis mammography examinations.
- Review patient history and relevant breast health information prior to examinations.
- Explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate care throughout the patient's visit.
- Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and dignity during all procedures.
- Evaluate images for positioning, exposure, and diagnostic quality.
- Repeat images when necessary to ensure optimal diagnostic quality.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles at all times.
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
- Perform required quality-control procedures according to department standards.
- Maintain clean, safe, and properly functioning equipment and work areas.
- Communicate technical concerns and equipment issues appropriately.
- Maintain efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient environment.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
QualificationsRequired
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
- Current state licensure, where required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Knowledge of mammography positioning, compression, breast anatomy, and radiation safety.
- Knowledge of screening and diagnostic mammography protocols.
- Experience with digital mammography systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and patient-care skills.
- Ability to safely position and assist patients in a clinical environment.
Preferred
- 1+ year of mammography experience.
- Outpatient or ambulatory imaging experience.
- Experience with 3D/tomosynthesis mammography.
- Experience with Hologic, GE, Siemens, or other digital mammography equipment.
- Experience with diagnostic breast imaging or breast biopsy procedures.
- Experience working in a high-volume outpatient imaging environment.
