Manager Of Finance Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a manager of finance in North Carolina?
The most direct path is completing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, followed by several years in financial analyst or accounting roles to build hands-on experience. North Carolina does not require a state-issued license specifically for finance managers, but employers in regulated sectors consistently prefer candidates who hold a CPA issued through the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners or a CFA credential, which strengthens candidacy considerably in Charlotte's financial services market and the Research Triangle's life sciences sector.
Which companies hire manager of finances in North Carolina?
Employers hiring manager of finances in North Carolina right now include Holman, FlyExclusive, and Morris-Jenkins, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. North Carolina's concentration of major bank headquarters in Charlotte and large research universities and health systems in the Raleigh-Durham area means hiring activity tends to be consistent and broad across both private and institutional employers.
Which North Carolina cities have the most manager of finance jobs?
Raleigh, Charlotte, and Wilmington are the North Carolina cities with the most manager of finance openings. Charlotte leads because it is one of the largest banking and financial services centers in the country, while Raleigh and Durham draw strong demand from Research Triangle technology firms, life sciences companies, and major university health systems that maintain large, active finance departments.
Are there remote manager of finance jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, and more than many management roles, since finance managers spend most of their time working with data, reports, and digital systems rather than on a physical job site. About 33% of manager of finance openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in the field. Financial planning and analysis and corporate reporting functions tend to offer the most remote options, while treasury and audit roles often require more regular in-office presence.
How can I get hired as a manager of finance in North Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a financial analyst or staff accountant at a North Carolina employer, then building toward a manager role over several years. Large Charlotte-area banks and healthcare systems such as Atrium Health run formal rotational finance programs and associate finance analyst tracks designed for recent graduates. Earning a CPA through the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners early in your career accelerates advancement, and lateral moves from accounting, audit, or budget analyst positions are common stepping stones into finance management.
Where can I find and apply to manager of finance jobs in North Carolina?
You can find and apply to manager of finance jobs in North Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
