Job Description
Responsibilities
The Director of Content & Lifecycle Marketing owns the organization's voice and writes the content that builds authority, moves deals, and keeps clients engaged. This is a hands-on writing role, not a strategy-only seat. You'll set messaging and lifecycle strategy, then execute against it across the website, SEO, long-form thought leadership, account-based campaigns, and sales materials. You'll partner closely with Growth Marketing to keep positioning consistent across acquisition and account-based work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the organization's tone of voice and write across formats: website copy, long-form thought leadership, SEO content, ABM campaigns, and sales enablement pieces.
- Lead executive messaging and thought leadership that builds authority and supports sales conversations.
- Build content for account-based marketing, tailored to specific accounts and buyers.
- Design and optimize nurture programs, segmented email workflows, and retargeting to improve funnel progression.
- Partner with or oversee PR as the function matures, keeping press materials and executive communications consistent with brand voice.
- Align messaging with Growth Marketing for consistent positioning across acquisition and account-based efforts.
- Partner with Brand & Creative to maintain voice consistency across all touchpoints.
- Lead and develop content and lifecycle team members, setting priorities and performance standards.
- Track engagement, conversion, and retention metrics, and use them to sharpen the work.

Marketing Manager Jobs in Austin: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a marketing manager job in Austin?
Focus your search on Austin's tech and SaaS companies clustered in the Domain and downtown, where marketing manager demand is strongest. B2B software, fintech, and healthcare tech employers here tend to prioritize candidates with product marketing or demand generation experience. Building familiarity with Austin's startup scene through local events and industry meetups gives you a real edge over out-of-market applicants.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Austin?
Companies currently hiring marketing managers in Austin include Amazon Web Services, DoorDash, and Clients Blackbox, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Austin's hiring base is especially deep among enterprise software companies, high-growth consumer brands, and regional financial services firms with marketing teams based here.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Austin?
Yes, though availability depends on the role type. About 46% of marketing manager openings tied to Austin are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, which reflects how strategy-heavy and content-driven the local market is. Campaign management, content strategy, and digital marketing manager roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility among Austin employers.
How can I get a marketing manager job in Austin with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Austin is moving up from a marketing coordinator or specialist role at a mid-size SaaS or tech company, where teams are lean and promotion timelines are shorter than at large corporations. Austin employers in growth-stage startups often elevate strong individual contributors quickly. Demonstrating ownership of a campaign or channel, even in a junior title, is the clearest signal local hiring managers look for.
