Swami Compounding a custom rubber compounder is looking for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic Technician to join our team in Rome, Georgia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial mechanics and some experience in electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment efficiently.

Swami Compounding is a custom rubber compounder started with an aim to provide quality rubber compounds for various applications such as Tire Retreads, Conveyor belts, Floor Mats, Roofing, Wire & Cable, Hoses, Construction, Automotive etc. Our current mixing capacity is 60 Million lb. with one fully automated mixing line with 250-liter Banbary mixer. We currently mix NR, SBR, EPDM, IR, IIR, BR, NBR, CR polymers.

Essential Job Function:
· Inspect, Operate and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
· Perform preventative maintenance tasks, including lubricating & cleaning of machines and equipment.
· Replace defective parts such as bearings, seals, gears, valves.
· Routinely inspect all plant equipment for sign of wear or malfunctioning parts.
· Apply Lubricants to all moving parts on a regular basis.
· Clean work area after completing tasks to ensure safety compliance.
· Perform basic carpentry tasks in the plant as assigned.
· Operate equipment to cut, join, repair and fabricate components and equipment
· Analyze machine error message and diagnostic test results to identify faults
· Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals and equipments manufactures instructions
· Work with co-workers, customers and/or vendors in a courteous and tactful manner to resolve issues as they arise.
· Installs, maintain, troubleshoot and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement, including conduit as needed.
· Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by management
· Ability to use hand tools, multi-meter, power tools, levels, etc.
· Ability to operate forklifts, hoist, and power equipment
· Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
· Ability to work off ladder, bend, stoop and lift 50 to 75 lb.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:
· At least 5 to 7 years of experience in the manufacturing environment directly related to the job function specified above
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Highschool, Associate or Technical degree preferred
Compensation: $24 to $27/hour
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
