COMPENSATION
Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $21.85 - $27.30 for an MA or $24.10 - $30.10 for an LPN and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training.

WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Licensure or Certifications
- MA: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days unless department leader has determined it is not required.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

Degrees:
- GED or HS Equivalency Diploma.
- MA: Completion of an accredited or approved program in Medical Assistant, or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 5 years.
- LPN: Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm - flexibility needed to meet the patient needs Thursday 10:00am - 6:30pm - shifts scheduled as clinic needs change
As a Medical Assistant/LPN, you’ll play a vital role in the care team – supporting providers, connecting with patients, and helping ensure a seamless, compassionate experience every day.
As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
- Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
- Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
- Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
ABOUT THIS LOCATION: The Pediatrics clinic at the 2000 E. Layton Ave, St. Francis location is located inside the broader Aurora Health Center, which houses dozens of other specialties (family medicine, OB/GYN, cardiology, urgent care, etc.), allowing coordinated care in one place. The clinic provides primary care for children from birth through adolescence (high school years). Emphasizes a family-centered care model, meaning providers work closely with parents/caregivers and tailor care to each child’s needs. This clinic provides patients with options for same day appts, virtual telehealth, extended evening hours, and urgent care/lab coverage needs making it easier for families’ to obtain healthcare services.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
- Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
- Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective clothing and equipment must be worn as necessary.
- Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
- Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
