Position Description
The Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons, Department of Neurology, in collaboration with the NCI-designated Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC), is seeking a full-time neuro-oncologist at the Associate Professor or Professor level in the Department of Neurology, Division of Neuro-Oncology. This position will support the clinical work in the division, particularly clinical trials for brain tumors, and serve as the Clinical Director of Brain Tumor Research in the Division of Neuro-Oncology and Co-Leader of the Neuro-Oncology Disease Based Team for the HICCC. The optimal candidate will have strong relationships with industry and the neuro-oncology academic community, and in-depth experience leading prospective brain tumor clinical trials, such as industry-sponsored or supported, investigator-initiated, and NCI National Clinical Trials Network studies.
The position includes outpatient clinical activity, inpatient neuro-oncology consultation, and teaching of residents, fellows and students.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- M.D. or M.D. Ph.D., or D.O. or equivalent
Additional Qualifications:
- Active Certification or eligibility for Certification in Neuro-Oncology from the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialities (UCNS)
- Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
- A demonstrated record as a clinician with excellent patient care, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- New York State (and plan for obtaining New Jersey and Connecticut) medical license
- Florida medical license or telehealth license
- Federal DEA (and plan for Connecticut Controlled Substance Provider (CSP) Registration, New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration)
- Ability to obtain Connecticut medical license and Controlled Substance Provider (CSP) registration
- Active membership in good standing of the Society for Neuro-Oncology and American Society of Clinical Oncology
- Able to meet New York Presbyterian Hospital-Medical Staff Office credentialing requirements

Pay Transparency Disclosure
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Pay: $250,000.00 - $475,000.00 per year
