Nursing Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a nursing job in Orlando?
The strongest hiring in Orlando runs through its large hospital systems, specialty surgery centers, and the growing Medical City health campus in Lake Nona. Candidates with ICU, emergency, or surgical experience move quickly in this market. Targeting employers near the Downtown Orlando medical district and Orange County-area outpatient networks gives you the widest range of openings, and flexibility across shifts tends to set applicants apart from the competition.
Which companies hire nursings in Orlando?
Companies currently hiring nursings in Orlando include Orlando Health, South University, and AdventHealth University, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's employer mix leans heavily toward large regional health systems, specialty hospitals, and nationally recognized research and teaching institutions anchored around the Lake Nona and Downtown corridors.
Are there remote nursing jobs in Orlando?
Yes, though remote work in nursing is limited by nature since most roles require direct patient contact. About 0% of nursing openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, concentrated in utilization review, case management, and telehealth triage. Orlando's growing telehealth sector and managed care organizations are the most consistent source of those remote-eligible positions locally.
How can I get a nursing job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is through a new-graduate or nurse residency program, which several of Orlando's major hospital systems run on a rolling basis. Community hospitals and long-term care facilities in the Orange and Osceola County areas also hire entry-level RNs and LPNs more readily than large academic centers. Completing clinical rotations at an Orlando-area facility and applying internally gives new graduates a measurable advantage in a competitive local market.
Which industries hire the most nursings in Orlando?
Orlando nursing roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Education, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Orlando's rapid population growth, major tourism-adjacent healthcare demand, and the expanding Medical City research campus in Lake Nona collectively drive sustained hiring volume across those sectors.
