Office Manager Jobs in Philadelphia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a office manager job in Philadelphia?
Philadelphia's strongest hiring comes from its healthcare networks, law firms, universities, and financial services offices concentrated in Center City and University City. Candidates who stand out typically combine experience with scheduling, vendor coordination, and budget oversight. Familiarity with the fast-paced environment of a medical or legal office gives applicants a practical edge in this market, where employers value candidates who can manage operations with minimal supervision.
Which companies hire office managers in Philadelphia?
Companies currently hiring office managers in Philadelphia include Marriott International, University of Pennsylvania, and Hilton, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Philadelphia's mix of major hospital networks, regional law firms, and mid-size professional services companies means consistent year-round demand across both large organizations and growing businesses.
Are there remote office manager jobs in Philadelphia?
Yes, though remote availability is limited since most office manager roles involve on-site coordination, facilities oversight, and in-person team support. About 14% of office manager openings tied to Philadelphia are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at technology-adjacent firms and corporate headquarters in Center City.
How can I get a office manager job in Philadelphia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Philadelphia is through an administrative assistant or office coordinator role, particularly at one of the city's many healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, or professional services firms that promote from within. Starting in patient services coordination at a Philadelphia health system or as a front-desk coordinator at a Center City law office gives hands-on exposure to operations that directly translates to an office manager role.
Which industries hire the most office managers in Philadelphia?
Most office manager openings in Philadelphia sit in Retail, Education, and Accounting & Auditing, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Philadelphia's dense concentration of teaching hospitals, regional universities, and established professional services firms drives consistent demand for experienced operations staff across those sectors.
