Who's Hiring

Operations Consultant Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations consultant job in New York?
Target the sectors that hire most heavily in New York: financial services firms in the Financial District, management consulting practices in Midtown, and large healthcare networks across the boroughs. Candidates who can demonstrate process improvement experience tied to high-volume, regulated environments stand out here. Familiarity with lean methodologies, stakeholder management in matrixed organizations, and New York's fast-paced deal culture gives applicants a measurable edge over generalists.
Which companies hire operations consultants in New York?
New York operations consultant roles are posted by PwC, Beta Search, and G MASS and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market includes a dense mix of global consulting firms, investment banks, insurance carriers, and large health systems, all of which maintain substantial in-house operations functions alongside project-based consulting needs.
Are there remote operations consultant jobs in New York?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role: analytical and strategy-focused positions are far more remote-friendly than hands-on process or facilities work. About 33% of operations consultant openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, with hybrid schedules most common among financial services and consulting firms headquartered in Midtown. Client-facing or implementation-heavy roles typically require on-site presence.
How can I get a operations consultant job in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in New York is through analyst or coordinator roles at mid-size consulting boutiques in Midtown or at large institutions such as hospitals, universities, and financial firms that hire operations associates directly. New York's density of professional services firms also means strong demand for project support and business analyst roles that feed into consulting tracks. A demonstrated ability to work with data, manage competing priorities, and communicate clearly to senior stakeholders matters more than tenure at this level.
