Operations Jobs in Jacksonville: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a operations job in Jacksonville?
Focus on Jacksonville's strongest hiring sectors: port and freight logistics, healthcare systems, financial services, and defense contractors based in the Southside and Deerwood Park corridors. Candidates who can demonstrate experience with supply chain coordination, process improvement, or vendor management stand out locally. Familiarity with large-scale distribution or multi-site operations is a real advantage in this market, given Jacksonville's position as a major Southeast logistics hub.
Which companies hire operationss in Jacksonville?
Jacksonville operations roles are posted by Bank of America, FIS, and Fortegra and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jacksonville's employer mix leans heavily toward healthcare networks, regional banks, third-party logistics firms, and defense-adjacent contractors, all of which maintain dedicated operations teams.
Are there remote operations jobs in Jacksonville?
Yes, though it depends on the role: hands-on or floor-level operations positions are almost always on-site, while analytical, planning, and administrative operations roles are far more remote-friendly. About 33% of operations openings tied to Jacksonville are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, skewing toward roles in supply chain planning, operations analytics, and back-office coordination rather than warehouse or facilities management.
How can I get a operations job in Jacksonville with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Jacksonville is through coordinator or analyst roles at the city's large healthcare systems and third-party logistics companies, which regularly hire candidates without direct operations titles. Roles like operations coordinator, scheduling specialist, or logistics associate are common stepping stones locally. Highlighting experience with scheduling tools, inventory tracking, or customer-facing problem-solving helps, as does targeting employers in Southside and the Port of Jacksonville area who hire at volume.
Which industries hire the most operationss in Jacksonville?
Most operations openings in Jacksonville sit in Transportation & Logistics, Banking & Financial Services, and Healthcare & Medical Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Jacksonville's role as a major port city and Southeast distribution hub, combined with its large healthcare and financial services employer base, makes those sectors consistently the deepest sources of local operations demand.
