The strongest path into operations work in Marietta runs through its logistics and distribution sector along the I-75 corridor, its manufacturing base in the Highway 41 and Bells Ferry Road area, and the healthcare systems anchored around Town Center. Candidates with experience in supply chain coordination, warehouse operations, or facilities management stand out. Familiarity with ERP systems and lean process improvement gives applicants a clear edge with Marietta's mid-size industrial and healthcare employers.

Marietta operations roles are posted by Lockheed Martin, Crunch Fitness, and DICK'S Sporting Goods and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market includes a mix of national logistics firms with regional distribution hubs, large healthcare networks, aerospace and defense contractors near Dobbins Air Reserve Base, and established manufacturing operations throughout the city's industrial corridors.
Are there remote operations jobs in Marietta?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of role, since hands-on warehouse, facilities, and plant operations positions are almost always on-site while analytical and administrative operations roles can often be done remotely. About 14% of operations openings tied to Marietta are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with most of those concentrated in supply chain analysis, vendor management, and business operations coordination roles.
How can I get a operations job in Marietta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Marietta is a coordinator or associate operations role at one of the city's logistics companies, healthcare systems, or manufacturing facilities, where on-the-job training is common. Marietta Community School and Chattahoochee Technical College offer workforce programs that connect graduates directly with local employers. Roles like operations assistant, inventory associate, or scheduling coordinator frequently serve as the first step, and candidates who can demonstrate proficiency with spreadsheets or basic ERP tools move faster through initial screenings.
