Summary
As an Area Specialist Manager, you will provide leadership and supervision to the Area Customer Experience Specialist team to enhance the colleague and customer experience. The role is responsible for leading customer experience, mitigating risk and positively contributing toward the branch performance, effectively helping more customers achieve their goals. In addition to leading a team, an Area Specialist Manager will also support the onboarding experience for new hires to the branch and partner effectively with the Regional Leadership Team and key partners such as operational leaders, centralized scheduling and HR.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading Area Customer Experience Specialists across a region working to improve sales, service and operational skills and behaviors across the team
- Leverages available tools and technology to drive results and maintains knowledge and educates teams on all products, services, technology and policies
- Actively oversees the recruitment and hiring process ensuring the assigned market is staffed with colleagues suitable for Huntington’s culture
- Consistently coach and develop through 1-1’s and branch visits
- Present skill developments to build capability on the team
- Facilitate Welcome Sessions to provide a great onboarding experience for new hires
- Recruit, pair and support Welcome Huntington Onboarding Support Teammates (HOST’s) across the region
- Partner effectively with regional leadership team providing feedback, insights and observations
- Partner effectively with centralized scheduling team, operational leaders, and HR
- Focus on career development conversations
- Manages timecards and mileage expenses
- Travel across the regional footprint to conduct branch visits
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience and minimum of 5 years Retail Banking experience in Branch Management or similar role.

- Strong leadership skills with proven results.
- Ability to create and lead a collaborative team-oriented environment and effectively partner with all levels of leadership and support teams across the organization.
- Ability to develop, influence, inspire and motivate colleagues to increase retention.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills.
- Problem solving skills/ability to handle complex issues.
- Time management skills

Compensation Range:
$80,000-$100,000 Annually
The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
