Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to lift between 5-50 pounds regularly
- Ability to handle walk ups, direct messages, phone calls, and incoming tickets
- Strong customer service demeanor and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and on time with attention to detail
- Ability to independently prioritize and handle workload in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of internet-related technologies and protocols
- Understanding of how to route and manage copper, fiber cables, and power runs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products like Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio
Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 to $24.00 per hour. Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?
The ATC Data Center Operations Technician I provides hands on support for all users and owners of physical equipment within the ATC data centers, and reports to the Data Center Operations Team Lead. Hands on support includes physical install, cabling, technical support, troubleshooting, smart hands, and asset management.
Responsibilities:
- Rack, stack, cabling, labeling, asset management, and integration of devices within the ATC data centers per written instructions
- Multi-task and prioritize workload independently
- Handle tickets, read cable maps, and execute additional tasks per written instructions or smart hands direction
- Performs configuration of network devices and servers within the ATC data centers
- Installation of Windows, Linux, or other operating systems as needed
- Communicates directly with ATC architects and engineers, ATC partners, and any other consumers of ATC services regarding tasks and any errors encountered during task execution
- Provides Remote hands support for users and owners of physical equipment within the ATC Datacenters
- Assists and escorts third party contractors and guests with on-site access
- Assists with datacenter facility operations, maintenance, and housekeeping to maintain a state of "tour readiness"
- Daily walkthroughs of our data centers to ensure the environment and facilities are operating at efficient levels
- Work in a data center environment with standard hot and cold aisle containment
