Partner Development Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a partner development manager in Texas?
Partner development manager is not a state-licensed role in Texas, so no board exam or registration is required. Most employers look for a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a technology-related field combined with experience in channel sales, alliances, or account management. In Texas, demonstrating hands-on familiarity with the SaaS or enterprise tech ecosystem, particularly through roles at a vendor, distributor, or VAR, is the most direct path to a first or mid-level position.
Which companies hire partner development managers in Texas?
Employers hiring partner development managers in Texas right now include Apple, ETAP Software, and Intuit, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of technology headquarters, telecom carriers, and enterprise software operations makes it one of the more consistent states for this role year-round.
Which Texas cities have the most partner development manager jobs?
Austin, Plano, and Houston have the most partner development manager openings in Texas. Austin's dense cluster of SaaS and cloud companies drives volume there, Dallas benefits from a large concentration of enterprise technology and telecom headquarters, and Houston's energy and industrial sectors generate demand for channel and alliance-focused roles supporting those verticals.
Are there remote partner development manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and they're fairly common. About 48% of partner development manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on relationship management, virtual meetings, and digital pipeline tracking. Strategic planning, partner enablement, and co-marketing coordination are the functions most likely to be offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a partner development manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an inside sales, account management, or channel coordinator role into a junior partner development position. Large Texas technology employers such as Dell Technologies and NTT Data run structured sales development and business development representative programs that serve as a common feeder track. Building familiarity with a partner relationship management tool and earning a vendor certification, such as those offered by Microsoft, AWS, or Salesforce, gives candidates a measurable edge in Texas listings at the associate level.
Where can I find and apply to partner development manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to partner development manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings by city or specialty, find roles that fit your experience and focus area, and apply directly to the ones that match.
