Responsibilities
The Emerging Verticals team builds and scales programs that grow high-quality content supply across TikTok's content categories in North America. Our work sits at the intersection of platform strategy, content growth, and product adoption—helping creators and publishers expand their presence, build sustainable content strategies, reach new audiences, and grow their impact on TikTok.
About the Role
We are looking for a Publisher Partner Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of strategic publisher accounts across key content verticals. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your publisher portfolio, owning partner relationships end-to-end and helping publishers develop effective content strategies, grow their audiences, increase platform engagement, and deepen their partnership with TikTok. This role combines strategic account management, publisher development, content strategy, and cross-functional execution. You will work closely with publishers to understand their business priorities, editorial strategies, audience development goals; identify growth opportunities; drive adoption of platform products and programs; and translate TikTok's strategic priorities into actionable plans for publisher partners. The ideal candidate has experience managing publishers, media organizations, or strategic content partners and understands the evolving digital media ecosystem, publisher business models, audience development strategies, and content distribution across digital platforms.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic publisher accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted strategic advisor.
- Own publisher relationships end-to-end, including partner identification, onboarding, account planning, performance reviews, growth strategy, and long-term engagement.
- Develop publisher-specific growth strategies that help partners increase high-quality content supply, grow audiences, improve engagement, and expand their presence on TikTok.
- Understand publishers' business models, editorial strategies, content operations, organizational structures, and strategic priorities to identify opportunities for deeper platform collaboration.
- Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with publisher partners to evaluate performance, align on priorities, and develop joint growth plans.
- Drive adoption of TikTok products, programs, and strategic initiatives across publisher accounts.
- Analyze publisher performance, content trends, and audience insights to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify, develop, and scale high-potential publisher accounts that can serve as showcases for high-quality content and best practices within their respective content categories.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across publisher organizations, including editorial, audience development, social media, content strategy, partnerships, and executive leadership teams.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Creator Operations, Marketing, Comms, and other internal teams to represent publisher needs and execute strategic initiatives.
- Gather structured publisher feedback and industry insights to inform product development, platform strategy, and operational priorities.
- Develop scalable publisher management frameworks, playbooks, and best practices that improve account management efficiency and publisher outcomes.
- Monitor trends across digital media, publishing, social platforms, and the broader content ecosystem to identify emerging opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.

- 5+ years of experience in publisher partnerships, partner management, strategic account management, business development, digital media, content partnerships, or related fields.

- Proven ability to develop account strategies, identify growth opportunities, and drive measurable partner outcomes.

- Strong communication, relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage complex partner relationships and operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with publishers, media companies, digital-native media organizations, or content platforms.
- Existing relationships within the North American publisher and digital media ecosystem.

Mid Level Partner Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level partner manager job?
Position yourself around ownership and outcomes rather than tasks. Highlight specific partner programs you managed independently, revenue or pipeline you influenced through channel relationships, and any cross-functional projects you led without close supervision. Tailor your resume to show you can manage partners from onboarding through performance reviews, and use concrete metrics wherever possible to demonstrate business impact.
Which companies hire mid level partner managers?
Companies hiring mid level partner managers right now include TikTok, DoorDash, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Hiring at this level covers technology platforms, SaaS companies, and enterprise businesses that rely on channel or ecosystem partnerships to drive a significant portion of their growth.
Are there remote mid level partner manager jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 49% of mid level partner manager openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the fact that partner relationships are largely managed digitally through video calls, shared portals, and email. On-site roles do exist, particularly at companies that prioritize in-person relationship building with key accounts.
How do I move up to a mid level partner manager role?
Moving into a mid level role requires building a clear record of independent contribution in your early years. Focus on deepening your understanding of partner ecosystems, taking ownership of at least one program or account set, and demonstrating measurable results such as partner activation rates or co-sell revenue. Seeking out cross-functional projects and learning to influence stakeholders without direct authority are the skills that signal readiness for the next level.
Which industries hire the most mid level partner managers?
Mid Level partner manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Distribution & Wholesale, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors invest heavily in channel and alliance programs because indirect distribution, reseller networks, and technology integrations are central to how they scale revenue without proportionally expanding direct sales headcount.
