Partner Program Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a partner program manager in Washington?
The typical Washington path starts with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a technology field, followed by experience in sales, alliances, or channel operations. There is no state-issued license for this role. Washington employers, particularly those in the Seattle and Redmond technology corridor, often promote from within sales engineering, account management, or business development. Certifications from Microsoft, AWS, or Salesforce Partner programs strengthen a candidate's profile considerably and are frequently referenced in Washington job postings.
How much do partner program managers make in Washington?
Partner program managers in Washington earn a median of about $124,160 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $74,750 for the lowest 10% to over $202,120 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire partner program managers in Washington?
Employers hiring partner program managers in Washington right now include Amazon, Intuit, and Microsoft, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's dense concentration of global technology headquarters and regional cloud divisions means partner program roles appear across a wide range of company sizes, from large enterprise platforms to growth-stage software firms based in the Puget Sound area.
Which Washington cities have the most partner program manager jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Olympia lead Washington for partner program manager openings. Seattle and Bellevue drive the bulk of listings because major technology company headquarters and regional alliance teams are based there, while Redmond's concentration of Microsoft campuses and its ecosystem of partner-facing divisions consistently generates demand across all seniority levels.
Are there remote partner program manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. Partner program management is a relationship-oriented but largely desk-based role, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 100% of partner program manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed partner ecosystems have become. Strategic alliance work and partner enablement content development are the functions most commonly offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a partner program manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from an adjacent role such as account coordinator, sales operations analyst, or marketing programs associate at a Washington technology company. Large employers in the Seattle and Bellevue corridor, including enterprise software and cloud platform firms, regularly hire program coordinators and partner operations associates who support senior partner managers and grow into the full role. Building familiarity with a major cloud or software partner program, such as the Microsoft Partner Network, signals genuine readiness and gives candidates a concrete credential to point to.
