Physical Therapist Jobs in Dallas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physical therapist job in Dallas?
The strongest entry points in Dallas are its large hospital systems in the Medical District, the dense cluster of outpatient orthopedic and sports rehab clinics in Uptown and Plano, and the growing home health agencies serving the broader DFW metro. Candidates with orthopedic, neurological, or sports medicine experience move fastest here. A clinical rotation completed at a Dallas-area facility and familiarity with Epic-based documentation both help in a competitive market.
Which companies hire physical therapists in Dallas?
Employers hiring physical therapists in Dallas right now include Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, InHome Therapy, and UT Southwestern Medical Center, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local market mixes major academic medical centers, national outpatient rehab chains with clinics throughout Dallas and the suburbs, and independent sports medicine practices concentrated in Uptown and the Park Cities.
Are there remote physical therapist jobs in Dallas?
Yes, though remote work is uncommon for hands-on clinical roles. About 0% of physical therapist openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to be in telehealth triage, utilization review, or clinical education rather than direct patient care. In-person treatment roles at Dallas hospital systems and outpatient clinics remain almost entirely on-site.
How can I get a physical therapist job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through a new-grad residency or fellowship at one of the Medical District hospital systems, which are structured specifically for recent DPT graduates. Home health agencies operating across Dallas and the surrounding suburbs also hire new grads at a higher rate than most outpatient clinics. Completing a final clinical rotation with a Dallas employer, even informally, gives you a concrete local reference and visibility before you apply.
Which industries hire the most physical therapists in Dallas?
Dallas physical therapist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Agriculture & Farming, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Dallas's position as a major regional medical hub, anchored by the UT Southwestern and Parkland campuses alongside a dense suburban outpatient market stretching into Frisco and Plano, drives steady hiring across those sectors.
