Physical Therapy Technician Jobs in Minneapolis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a physical therapy technician job in Minneapolis?
The strongest entry point in Minneapolis is targeting outpatient orthopedic and sports rehab clinics, which cluster heavily in Uptown, Edina, and along the Midtown Corridor. Large hospital networks and specialty sports medicine practices near downtown also hire consistently. Candidates who already hold a PT aide or rehab tech background and can demonstrate hands-on patient care experience stand out most in this market.
Which companies hire physical therapy technicians in Minneapolis?
Minneapolis physical therapy technician roles are posted by Allina Health, Aegis Therapies, and Brookdale Health and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. The local market includes a mix of major health systems, independent outpatient clinics, and employer-based wellness programs tied to the city's large corporate and university campuses.
Are there remote physical therapy technician jobs in Minneapolis?
Yes, though remote work is limited for this role since most duties involve direct, hands-on patient care. About 0% of physical therapy technician openings tied to Minneapolis are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, typically covering administrative coordination, scheduling, or documentation support functions rather than clinical floor work.
How can I get a physical therapy technician job in Minneapolis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Minneapolis is applying to high-volume outpatient clinic groups and hospital system aide programs, which regularly hire candidates without prior tech experience and provide on-the-job training. Volunteer or CNA experience at Minneapolis-area rehabilitation units strengthens a first application. Lateral entry from roles like patient care assistant or fitness coach at local sports medicine facilities is also common.
