The UnityPoint Health - Cedar Rapids Heart & Vascular Institute encompasses the heart care specialists and services of St. Luke's Hospital, St. Luke's Cardiology, and the cardiovascular surgeons. For more than 40 years, we have performed open-heart surgery in Cedar Rapids, as a trusted leader, specializing in innovation and the latest technology.
- Established team of 15 physicians and 8 Advanced Practitioners
- Established practice serving the Cedar Rapids community, and satellite outreach clinics in Anamosa, Manchester, and 3 other communities.
- Diverse practice covers sub-specialization in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease, peripheral vascular and electrophysiology.
- Part of a large multi-specialty group, including primary care, providing a built-in referral base.
- Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
- Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
- Clinic hours: M-F 830AM-5PM
- Shared call amongst the providers
- Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient
- Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
- Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
- Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiology and subspecialty Interventional
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
