- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized psychiatric treatment plans.
- Prescribe, manage, and adjust psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and applicable regulations.
- Monitor patient progress, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
- Provide psychiatric consultations and recommendations to primary care providers and other healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with licensed social workers, therapists, nurse practitioners, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention, including appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Educate patients and families regarding psychiatric diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional standards, and applicable state and federal requirements.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and clinical case discussions as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of medical licensure and professional responsibilities.
Education and Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey.
