This role will be responsible for maintaining and expanding our existing Blender-based product visualization system, creating fast and accurate product renders, developing visual concepts, and producing polished sales materials for buyers and retail presentations.
The ideal candidate is someone who combines a strong graphic design eye with advanced Blender skills and the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced consumer-products environment.
What You’ll Do
You will become the primary internal resource for product visualization and sales support.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive 3D product models from factories and prepare them for use within our existing Blender library.
- Add, organize, and maintain new product models within our established Blender system.
- Build and maintain reusable materials, textures, lighting setups, cameras, and rendering templates.
- Create product renders across multiple colors, finishes, materials, and configurations.
- Quickly produce colorway concepts and visual mockups for new product ideas.
- Expand and improve our existing Blender setup as new products, categories, and rendering needs are introduced.
- Maintain consistency in product scale, lighting, perspective, color, and presentation across all renders.
- Create realistic and polished product imagery for buyer presentations and internal review.
- Build product decks and assortment presentations for sales teams and retail buyers.
- Develop sell sheets, product presentations, concept boards, and other sales-support materials.

- Follow consistent naming conventions, folder structures, version control, and asset-management standards.
- Work closely with product development, sales, packaging, and management to prioritize and execute requests.
- Manage multiple requests simultaneously while maintaining quality and accuracy.

- Strong file-management discipline, including naming conventions, folders, versioning, and asset organization.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple urgent requests and shifting priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.

Product Designer Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product designer in New Jersey?
Product design has no state-issued license in New Jersey, so the path runs through education and portfolio. Most New Jersey employers expect a bachelor's degree in interaction design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. Programs at Rutgers University, the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Kean University all feed directly into the local market. A strong portfolio showing UX process, research, and shipped work carries more weight than any single credential.
Which companies hire product designers in New Jersey?
Employers hiring product designers in New Jersey right now include Avis Budget, CUBX, and Photon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical, financial services, and media headquarters means product designers here often work on regulated digital products, internal enterprise tools, and consumer-facing health or financial applications.
Which New Jersey cities have the most product designer jobs?
Jersey City, Lakewood, and New Jersey account for the most product designer openings in New Jersey. Newark and Jersey City benefit from their proximity to New York City financial and media firms that maintain New Jersey campuses, while Princeton and the Route 1 corridor attract design roles tied to pharmaceutical, biotech, and technology companies headquartered in that region.
Are there remote product designer jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 43% of product designer openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how central screen-based tools and async collaboration have become to design work. UX research and design systems roles tend to be the most remote-friendly, while roles requiring in-person user testing or embedded studio work are more likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a product designer in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an associate product designer or UX designer role, which larger New Jersey employers in pharma and financial services post specifically for candidates without industry experience. Johnson and Johnson and Prudential Financial both run rotational design programs and new-grad cohorts. Adjacent roles in UX research, visual design, or business analysis offer lateral moves into product design. A portfolio with two or three well-documented case studies, even from academic or freelance projects, gives candidates a genuine edge.
Where can I find and apply to product designer jobs in New Jersey?
