Job Context
Simpro is trusted by thousands of field service businesses worldwide to run their operations. As our Senior UX Designer, you won't just ship screens - you'll raise the design bar across the entire product organisation, setting the standards that everyone else builds from.Design authority, not just delivery. The AI era means more people than ever can generate UI. Your job is to ensure what gets built is intentional, cohesive, and genuinely good - through systems, standards, and the credibility to enforce them.
What You’ll Do
Own and evolve Simpro's design system and component library, setting the standards that product managers and engineers use when they build UI themselves
Define UX guidelines, principles, and governance frameworks so that design quality scales beyond the design team
Lead user research initiatives - regular usability testing, discovery interviews, and insight synthesis - and turn findings into product direction
Partner with product and engineering on complex, cross-product features: facilitating trade-off conversations and driving toward agreed solutions without losing user advocacy
Prototype and validate new concepts fast, keeping pace with AI-accelerated development cycles
Coach and mentor designers on best practices and evolve in the AI age
Take concepts from wireframe through to polished, production-ready design — and into code when needed
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with meaningful time in B2B, B2C or SaaS
A strong portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, not just polished screens
Hands-on experience with AI design and prototyping tools (v0, Cursor, Figma AI, Claude, or similar)
Confidence running your own research: recruiting, facilitation, synthesis
Solid HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript — you can talk code with engineers and build when you need to
Outstanding written and verbal communication

Product Designer Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product designer in Florida?
Product design has no state-issued license in Florida, so the path runs through education and demonstrated work. Most hiring managers in Florida expect a degree in graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a related field, though strong self-taught candidates with a polished portfolio are also considered. Building case studies that show research, wireframing, and shipped product outcomes, then applying to junior or associate roles at Florida's technology and fintech companies, is the most direct route in.
Which companies hire product designers in Florida?
Employers hiring product designers in Florida right now include Nubank, Flow, and Pack, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's concentration of fintech firms, healthtech startups, and enterprise software companies headquartered in the state means consistent openings appear outside the major coastal metros as well.
Which Florida cities have the most product designer jobs?
Miami, Florida, and Orlando have the most product designer openings in Florida right now. Miami drives the largest share of listings through its dense fintech and tech startup ecosystem, while Tampa and Orlando generate steady demand from enterprise software companies, large healthcare systems, and consumer brands that have built significant product teams in those markets.
Are there remote product designer jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 75% of product designer openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the work translates to distributed teams. Discovery research and stakeholder presentations are the phases most commonly kept on-site or hybrid, while visual design, prototyping, and async critique typically run fully remote.
How can I get hired as a product designer in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an associate or junior product designer role at a Florida technology or fintech company by leading with a portfolio rather than a credential. Companies such as UKG and Chewy, along with Orlando and Tampa's growing healthtech employers, periodically hire entry-level designers and look for candidates who have completed real-world capstone or apprenticeship projects. Transitioning from adjacent roles such as graphic designer, UX researcher, or front-end developer is also a recognized path, and adding a recognized UX certification strengthens early applications.
Where can I find and apply to product designer jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to product designer jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings from employers actively hiring right now. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly.
