Program Manager Jobs in Charlotte: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a program manager job in Charlotte?
Focus your search on Charlotte's financial services corridor in Uptown, the growing tech and healthcare campuses in University City, and the mid-market firms filling South End. Banking operations, health system expansion, and infrastructure projects drive the most consistent demand. Candidates who can show cross-functional delivery experience and familiarity with regulated industries stand out with Charlotte employers more than anywhere else.
Which companies hire program managers in Charlotte?
Companies currently hiring program managers in Charlotte include Carrier, Honeywell, and Xylem, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charlotte's employer mix skews toward large financial institutions, regional health systems, energy companies, and the professional services firms that support them.
Are there remote program manager jobs in Charlotte?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role. Program manager work tied to facilities, construction, or on-site operations is almost always in person, while technology and enterprise software programs are more remote-compatible. About 63% of program manager openings tied to Charlotte are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the highest share in technology and financial operations roles.
How can I get a program manager job in Charlotte with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charlotte is through coordinator or project analyst roles at the city's large health systems, bank operations centers, or construction management firms, all of which hire into structured junior tracks. Certifications like CAPM or PMI-ACP carry real weight locally. Volunteering for program coordination work inside a Charlotte employer, then building toward a PM title internally, is how many Charlotte program managers got their start.
Which industries hire the most program managers in Charlotte?

Charlotte's position as a major banking hub, combined with rapid growth in its healthcare and energy sectors, creates steady and varied demand for program managers with both technical and operations backgrounds.
