Project Assistant Jobs in Seattle: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project assistant job in Seattle?
The clearest path into a project assistant role in Seattle is targeting the city's dominant hiring sectors: technology, construction management, healthcare systems, and professional services firms. Candidates who stand out locally tend to have experience with project management software, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with the fast-paced culture of Seattle's tech and biotech employers. Volunteering with neighborhood organizations or interning at a South Lake Union or downtown firm also builds a competitive local resume.
Which companies hire project assistants in Seattle?
Companies currently hiring project assistants in Seattle include HDR, CRESA, and Daifuku, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Seattle's hiring mix leans toward large technology companies, regional construction and engineering firms, hospital systems, and public agencies, making it a particularly active market compared to many other West Coast cities.
Are there remote project assistant jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role: desk-based coordination and administrative project support tend to offer remote options, while construction, facilities, or on-site project roles rarely do. About 25% of project assistant openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting the city's strong technology and professional services presence. Hybrid arrangements are most common among Seattle's large tech employers in South Lake Union and Eastside suburban offices.
How can I get a project assistant job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point in Seattle is pursuing coordinator or administrative assistant roles at mid-size technology companies or general contractors, where project support work is part of the job from day one. Seattle's construction boom and the University of Washington's research and facilities operations are also consistent sources of entry-level project assistant openings. Certifications in tools like Microsoft Project or Asana, combined with a demonstrated ability to manage schedules and communicate across teams, give candidates a measurable edge in Seattle interviews.

The sectors hiring the most project assistants in Seattle are Construction & Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Seattle's concentration of global technology headquarters, a sustained construction pipeline, and major regional healthcare networks makes these industries consistently among the largest employers of project support professionals in the city.
