Front Desk Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a front desk in Washington?
Most front desk roles in Washington require a high school diploma and on-the-job training rather than a state-issued license. For medical front desk positions, Washington employers typically expect familiarity with electronic health records and may prefer candidates who have completed a medical administrative assistant certificate program at a community college such as Bellevue College or South Seattle College. Corporate and hospitality front desk roles prioritize customer service experience and proficiency with scheduling or property management systems.
Which companies hire front desks in Washington?
Companies currently hiring front desks in Washington include Highgate, Comfort Suites, and Dave & Buster's, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's large healthcare networks, hotel groups, and technology headquarters generate some of the most consistent front desk demand in the Pacific Northwest.
Which Washington cities have the most front desk jobs?
Seattle, Bellevue, and Vancouver have the most front desk openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue account for the largest share thanks to the concentration of tech campuses, hospital systems, and full-service hotels in the metro corridor, while Spokane's growing medical district and regional hospitality sector drive demand in eastern Washington.
Are there remote front desk jobs in Washington?
Yes, but they're rare. Front desk work is inherently on-site for most roles, requiring in-person guest or patient interaction. About 2% of front desk openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those listings tend to be virtual receptionist or remote administrative coordinator positions for multi-location businesses rather than traditional front desk roles.
How can I get hired as a front desk in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to hotel front desk agent or clinic patient services representative roles, which Washington employers routinely fill with candidates who have strong customer service backgrounds from retail or food service. Providence Health, UW Medicine, and major hotel groups in Seattle run new-hire training programs that do not require prior front desk experience. Completing a short medical administrative assistant certificate at a Washington community college also signals readiness and gives candidates a clear edge for healthcare front desk openings.
Where can I find and apply to front desk jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to front desk jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings across healthcare, hospitality, and corporate settings. Find roles that fit your experience and location, then apply directly to each employer through the listing.
