The Role
As a Front Desk Receptionist you will provide administrative and ancillary support at our corporate in NYC. Your duties will include copy services, mail and distribution services, records retention, office reception, utility services and communication systems. Coordinates with necessary vendors to meet organizational needs.
Reception Responsibilities
- Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Meet & Greet: Welcome all employees and visitors, using name recognition to provide a personalized experience.
- Access Requests: Manage building access via the Sharry system. Verify employee identities in the Kyndryl system and ensure requests comply with current access policies. Submit access requests through the onsite CBRE contact.
- Visitor Guidance: Direct visiting employees to their destinations and coordinate with internal hosts for external clients needing further assistance.
- Visitor Badges: Ensure visitors without a working Kyndryl badge sign in and adhere to the Security Policy, including wearing a temporary badge.
- Building Badge Requests: Forward badge requests to the onsite CBRE contact.
- Desk Reservation: Inform cleared visitors that a desk must be reserved in advance using the iOffice system.
- Restroom Badge Management: Track two sets of restroom badges—one set at Reception and another with the Group President’s Executive Assistant. Notify onsite CBRE contact if any badge issues arise.
- Lobby Maintenance: Ensure the lobby area remains clean and well maintained.
- Security Training: Maintain annual compliance with Kyndryl Security training, including protocols for panic alarms and suspicious communications or packages.
- Backup Coverage: Coordinate and provide backup coverage for reception as needed.
- Coffee Area Monitoring: Regularly check the coffee area in the lobby and work with onsite CBRE contact to resolve any issues.
- Facility Issues: Report any facility-related problems to the onsite CBRE contact.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as requested by Executives or Customers.
Mail/Ship Services & Print Duties
- Outgoing Mail/Packages: Process outgoing mail and packages using UPS CampusShip.
- Incoming Mail/Packages: Receive mail and packages from the building messenger center, including USPS, UPS, FedEx, or other carriers/messenger services.
- Package Tracking: Maintain records of all packages and special handling letters using individual tracking numbers. Ensure appropriate parties sign for receipt of items.
- Print Issues: Refer print issues to IT Executive Support, who provide first-level assistance, dispatch technicians for advanced problems, and handle orders for toner and parts.
- Paper Stock: RDC orders and supplies paper stock, which is maintained by IT Support.

Who You Are
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven background as a Front Desk or similar role, often with 2+ years. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), document management systems, and e-calendars.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organization, time management, written/verbal communication, discretion, judgment, and attention to detail.
- Attributes: Proactive, professional, reliable, able to work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Availability: Flexibility to work outside standard business hours to address urgent requests or international time zones.
- Discretion: Handling sensitive and confidential information with absolute integrity.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and pivot quickly during last-minute schedule changes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications is preferred but not required.
- This position will require you to work at our corporate office in NYC.

Compensation
- The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is - $46,080 to $82,680 based on a full-time schedule.
- Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
- There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
- California (San Francisco Bay Area): $55,320 to $99,240
- California (All Other): $50,640 to $90,960
- Colorado: $46,080 to $82,680
- Massachusetts: $46,080 to $90,960
- New York City: $55,320 to $99,240
- Washington: $50,640 to $90,960
- Washington DC: $50,640 to $90,960
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
