Position Overview
The Project Controls Analyst supports project controls execution on large, complex industrial projects within Kiewit Industrial’s growing Advanced Technology market. Reporting to a Project Controls Manager, this mid-level role supports forecasting, reporting, cost and schedule performance tracking, and overall project visibility in either a project-based or office-based environment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and experience with integrated project controls tools such as InEight or similar platforms.

Location
This position may be based in a district or area office or on a project site, depending on business needs. The role supports both office-based and project-based operations and may require travel or relocation depending on assignment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Project Controls Manager and project team with cost, schedule, progress, forecasting, and performance reporting, including integration of baselines within enterprise systems.
- Track project costs, labor hours, schedule updates, installed quantities, and progress for direct hire and subcontracted work.
- Maintain project controls systems and prepare weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, graphs, charts, and trend analysis for project and district leadership.
- Analyze performance against baseline cost and schedule plans, identify variances and risks, and support corrective action planning.
- Support schedule updates, critical path review, time impact analysis, change control, and evaluation of cost and schedule impacts from project changes.
- Analyze productivity, track design quantities, and incorporate estimating changes into quantity, cost, and schedule reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather information, support decision-making, and maintain consistent project controls standards and reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, business, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, scheduling, reporting, or project support within industrial, EPC, construction, or similarly complex environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to organize, interpret, and communicate project data clearly and accurately.
- Experience with project controls systems and reporting tools, with preference for InEight or similar platforms, Primavera P6, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Working knowledge of forecasting, earned value, cost and schedule reporting, progress measurement, and change tracking, with the ability to work effectively across project and office teams.
- Advanced technology, industrial, or mission-critical construction experience preferred; motivated, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced environment, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook). #LI-KS23

Base Compensation: $88,000/yr - $125,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
