Job Summary:
Responsible for the effective management of Owensboro Health–owned and leased facilities across the system, including medical office buildings, outpatient clinics, administrative locations, and support spaces. This role ensures each property operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Owensboro Health policies, regulatory standards, and clinical environment requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages daily facilities/property needs related to operations of multiple Owensboro Health-owned and leased sites across the regional footprint.
- Conducts routine building inspections and identifies deficiencies.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for clinic and departmental facility needs.
- Ensures regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA Life Safety Code, OSHA, ADA, KY requirements).
- Maintains documentation for surveys and audits.
- Assesses needs and collaborates on operating and capital budgets.
- Oversees vendor contracts and performance.
- Supports lease administration and CAM reconciliations.
- Partners with Construction & Facility Planning on space and renovation projects.
- Responds to facility emergencies and after-hours needs.
- Collaborates with Safety, Infection Prevention, and EVS to ensure clinical standards.
- Maintains strong relationships with clinic leaders, physicians, and staff.
- Maintains property and space planning database(s).

Position Requirements
Work Experience
- A minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience required.
Education
- High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire AND
- Associate’s degree or higher in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Real Estate or related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- CHC - Certified Healthcare Compliance through Healthcare Compliance Association (HCA) preferred OR
- FMP - Facility Management Professional through International Facility Management Association (IFMA) preferred OR
- CPM – Certified Property Manager through Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) preferred.
