JOB SUMMARY
Security Officers at Oak Grove will help maintain a safe and secure environment for all patrons and employees over 3 shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests and assisting team members in a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
- Assist guests with directions, property information, questions, and resolution of minor concerns or issues.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the property to promote a welcoming and safe atmosphere for guests and employees.
- Respond professionally and calmly to guest and employee incidents, accidents, or requests for assistance.
- Support the safety and security of guests, team members, and company property.
- Monitor access to restricted or secured areas as assigned.
- Observe and report safety concerns, hazards, or suspicious activity to appropriate leadership.
- Assist with monitoring guest and employee traffic throughout the property.
- May answer incoming calls, provide information, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- May assist with transporting money and chips in accordance with company procedures.
- May be asked to operate company vehicles and/or equipment requiring a valid Driver’s License.
- Work collaboratively with departments across the property to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to remain professional, calm, and courteous in fast-paced or challenging situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to observe surroundings and respond appropriately to safety and security concerns.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, security, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in a hotel, casino, or entertainment environment is a plus.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
