Quality Assurance Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance manager in Colorado?
Most quality assurance manager roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field, followed by several years in QA roles within a regulated industry such as aerospace, medical devices, or defense. Colorado has no state-issued license specific to quality assurance managers, but certifications from the American Society for Quality, such as Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer, are widely recognized by Colorado employers and strengthen candidacy considerably.
How much do quality assurance managers make in Colorado?
Quality assurance managers in Colorado earn a median of about $141,020 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $86,460 for the lowest 10% to over $230,410 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quality assurance managers in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring quality assurance managers in Colorado include CoorsTek, AECOM, and Orion Steel, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of aerospace, medical device, and defense contractors means demand for quality assurance managers with regulated-industry backgrounds remains particularly strong across the Front Range.
Which Colorado cities have the most quality assurance manager jobs?
Denver, Aurora, and Boulder lead Colorado for quality assurance manager openings. Denver anchors the market through its dense cluster of medical device, biotech, and corporate headquarters, while Colorado Springs draws from a large defense and aerospace contractor base, and Boulder's life sciences and technology sector sustains demand for quality managers with regulatory and R&D backgrounds.
Are there remote quality assurance manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're limited, since much of the role involves on-site audits, production floor oversight, and hands-on supplier reviews. About 38% of quality assurance manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those positions tend to concentrate in documentation-heavy functions such as quality systems management, compliance program oversight, and supplier audit coordination.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a quality technician, QA inspector, or manufacturing associate at a Colorado aerospace or medical device company, then building toward a supervisory role. Employers like Lockheed Martin and medical device manufacturers along the Front Range hire entry-level quality roles regularly. Earning an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Improvement Associate credential early strengthens applications, and internal promotions from production or engineering coordinator roles into quality supervision are common at larger Colorado facilities.
