Quality Assurance Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality assurance manager in Georgia?
Georgia does not require a state-issued license for quality assurance managers, so the path runs through education and industry credentials. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field combined with several years of hands-on QA experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or food production. Earning the Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer designation from the American Society for Quality is the credential Georgia employers most consistently call out in job listings.
How much do quality assurance managers make in Georgia?
Quality assurance managers in Georgia earn a median of about $127,820 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $75,720 for the lowest 10% to over $194,480 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire quality assurance managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring quality assurance managers in Georgia right now include Food Lion, Chromalloy, and State of Georgia, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of automotive suppliers, aerospace manufacturers, food and beverage producers, and large hospital systems means quality assurance manager demand is distributed across multiple industries rather than tied to a single sector.
Which Georgia cities have the most quality assurance manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Albany have the most quality assurance manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the largest share through its dense mix of corporate headquarters, healthcare networks, and logistics operations, while Savannah's growing port-adjacent manufacturing base and Columbus's long-standing industrial and defense presence account for strong demand outside the metro.
Are there remote quality assurance manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely desk-based fields, since quality assurance managers often need to be on the production floor or in regulated facilities. About 34% of quality assurance manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and the positions that do allow it tend to focus on documentation, audit coordination, supplier quality, or quality systems management rather than direct production oversight.
How can I get hired as a quality assurance manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is moving up from a quality technician, quality inspector, or quality assurance analyst role within a Georgia manufacturer or hospital system, then building toward management from within. Large Georgia employers in food manufacturing, medical devices, and automotive supply chains regularly promote from internal quality teams. Earning an entry-level ASQ certification such as the Certified Quality Technician and completing a quality-focused project or audit independently makes a candidate noticeably stronger when applying for a first management role.
Where can I find and apply to quality assurance manager jobs in Georgia?
