Manager - Consulting Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a manager - consulting in Georgia?
Most manager - consulting roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline, with an MBA valued for senior positions. Georgia does not require a state-issued license to practice management consulting, so the path focuses on building consulting experience, earning credentials like the PMP or a Six Sigma certification, and securing roles at Atlanta-based advisory firms or the consulting divisions of large Georgia-headquartered companies.
How much do manager - consultings make in Georgia?
Manager - consultings in Georgia earn a median of about $99,600 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,010 for the lowest 10% to over $172,850 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire manager - consultings in Georgia?
Employers hiring manager - consultings in Georgia right now include PwC, Visa, and NTT DATA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Atlanta's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and regional offices for the Big Four and global strategy firms makes Georgia one of the busier consulting hiring markets in the South.
Which Georgia cities have the most manager - consulting jobs?
Atlanta, Georgia, and Newnan have the most manager - consulting openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it serves as the Southeast headquarters for major consulting firms, financial institutions, and technology companies, while Alpharetta's dense technology corridor and Savannah's growing logistics and professional services sector generate consistent demand outside the metro core.

The most realistic entry path is an associate or analyst consultant role at one of Atlanta's large firms, which regularly recruit through campus programs at Georgia Tech, Emory, and the University of Georgia. Deloitte, Accenture, and PwC all run structured analyst cohort programs out of their Atlanta offices. Candidates transitioning from adjacent roles in project coordination, financial analysis, or business operations can position those backgrounds directly, and earning a PMP or completing a Six Sigma Green Belt course materially strengthens an application without prior consulting titles.
